Modi, Shah, Rahul on Gujarat visits mid-July

Gandhinagar, July 9 (IANS) Gujarat in mid-July is set to witness a shower of political bigwigs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi flying down for various events.
The Prime Minister will be here on July 20, Amit Shah would land much earlier on July 13 for a two-day visit and the Congress President will be touring the state on July 16 and 17.
The Prime Minister will be landing at Surat around 10.30 a.m. and reach Valsad in south Gujarat to dedicate around 2 lakh houses built under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana. He is then scheduled to inaugurate an animal dispensary in Junagadh town in Saurashtra region.
Before returning to the national capital at 7 p.m., Modi will attend the convocation function of the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University at 5.30 p.m.
During his two-day tour, BJP chief Amit Shah will perform the “mangla aarti” to open the traditional Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad. He will also be holding meetings with the party leaders and attend the inauguration of Youth Parliament of India at Karnavati University in Gandhinagar.
Gandhi will be in the Saurashtra region on July 16 and 17. Besides holding meetings with party leaders, he would visit the Alang ship breaking yard in Bhavnagar and discuss labour issues with the traders and businessmen there.
His next destination will be Amreli, the home district of Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Paresh Dhanani, to hold meetings there.
