SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE: An Indian pilot in training was among the three killed after two small planes collided in midair over Southwest Miami-Dade.
According to initial reports, Nisha Sejwal, 19, was currently attending Dean International Flight School.
A Piper PA-34 and a Cessna 172 aircraft collided midair in Southwest Miami-Dade, resulting in the death of at least three people.
The three deceased include 22-year-old Jorge Sanchez, 72-year-old Ralph Knight and 19-year-old, Indian origin, Nisha Sejwal.
According to Nisha’s Facebook account, she was from New Delhi and attended DAV Model School and Amity International School .

“We were able to confirm that we do have three deceased. There could be a possible fourth,” said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.
“Preliminary information that’s coming into our homicide detectives is that the two planes were possibly training, which leads us to believe that you had a pilot and a trainer or a trainer and a student, and another plane trainer and a student,” reported 7 News WSVN Miami
The Mayor of Miami-Dade said that both planes were with Dean International Flight School, which operates out of Miami Executive Airport.
