Bangkok, Thailand : The Thai government confirmed that the rescued football team members are in a good state, physical and mentally. Three of the boys are being treated for minor cases of pneumonia, but it was predicted, most will be discharged after about a week.

An emotional video of the “Wild Boars” released by the authorities show them waving to their families from their hospital beds. The family members were not allowed to enter the room where they are being treated, in order to avoid infection.

The Thai Navy SEALS who stayed in the cave with the boys for the last few days have also made it out safely, according to Narongsak Osottanakorn, Commander of the Joint Administration Center for Rescue Operations.

“The 17 Days of this ‘Mission Possible’ would not be a success without cooperation and unity from around the world,” Narongsak said during a final press briefing to wrap up the rescue operation.

He added that he could not thank enough the overwhelming assistance from experts around the globe, local government agencies, the public, and the private sector.

The Thailand cave rescue operation was accomplished on July 10, as 12 members and a coach of a youth football team were taken out of Tham Luang cave.

“The key success is the unity that help all of us reaching the goal without discrimination,” said Commander Narongsak Osottanakorn.

Rear Adm. Apakorn Youkongkaew, Commander of Naval Special Warfare Command, said that many people called the Thai Navy SEALS heroes. But he didn’t feel that they needed special recognition, saying that the Navy just held on to their values, “never abandoning the people” and assisting in the operation from “Day 1” until the mission is completed.

Police Major General Churat Pan-ngao, Deputy Commissioner of Provincial Police Region 5 said that 922 police officers were into the main areas for security and traffic facilitation. Ten police helicopters were also used during the operations.

Police officers also coordinated with 97 international divers and experts, helping with translations, accommodations, and travel efforts.
